I think for many of us Matcha lovers, our first introduction was either a Matcha latte or Matcha+water aka the traditional way of drinking Matcha. While these two are some of my absolute favourites, I honestly don't think they are the best introduction to Matcha! Matcha is quite the peculiar powder. It has to grow on you and after that you will find yourself somehow craving it more and more... two years later you're hooked. Oh, just me?
Anyway, let's get into today's recipe. This is, in my opinion, one of the BEST ways to start your Matcha journey. This is what I love to call a safe drink! It is Matcha in a way that MANY, even long time drinkers of Matcha have never seen or tried before. The funny thing is, it is so simple. The Matcha Sparkler.

I created this recipe when I was experimenting with Matcha. I didn't know much about it at the time and I was open to trying a bunch of things with it. Since it was a tea, I thought the easiest pairing would be lime/ lemon and I was right!
Ingredients- Matcha Sparkler
Serves: 2-4
1 PetitPopper
Juice from a lemon wedge
1 tbsp honey or maple syrup (to taste)
1 cup water (you may add more)
Ice
Method
In a large bowl, whisk Matcha Powder with about 2 tbsp warm water
Add ice, maple syrup, the juice from the lemon and water to a tall glass.
Pour Matcha on the top
Take a million pictures because it's pretty then mix well and drink!
